Salle Holyrood Fencing Club - "Fencing Footsteps" Sponsored Walk

Salle Holyrood Fencing Club members are doing a sponsored walk from St Margaret's Loch to Holyrood Palace using only fencing footwork! The distance is approximately 42 times the length of an Olympic fencing piste or approximately 2000 fencing steps.

The Scottish Fencing Summer Camp of 2011 - Report

The Scottish Fencing Summer Camp of 2011, or SFSC11 is the first of what will become an annual event -part of Scottish Fencing's renewed commitment to developing our young fencers, preparing them for competition and inspiring their training regime. The camp was mainly for fencers at the ‘development' stage and also providing some of our Sainsbury's UK School Games Team with a good opportunity to prepare together. The camp also included an Advanced Foil group who worked with our guest Italian coach Serena Pivotti.

Commonwealth Junior Fencing Championship 2012 - Selection Criteria


The Commonwealth Junior Fencing Championships 2012 (CJFC2012) will be held in St Helier, Jersey, on 14-19 February 2012.  

The primary tool for selection for the CJFC2012 will be the GB Junior ranking list at 1st November 2011.  

To be eligible for selection fencers must be in the top 48 in the GB Junior ranking or top 16 of the GB Cadet ranking. Fencers who appear within the ranking lists with no points will not be considered.

Up to 5 fencers can be selected for each of the 6 teams.
